Description

chart_rect sets the chart's rectangle.

The chart_rect is the red area in the chart below. Notice that it does not include the legend and axes labels:

  • x: The horizontal position of the rectangle's upper left corner relative to the upper left corner of the background (0, 0).

  • y: The vertical position of the rectangle's upper left corner relative to the upper left corner of the background (0, 0).

  • width: The rectangle's width.

  • height: The rectangle's height.

  • positive_color: The chart's background color above the zero line. This is a string holding triple hexadecimal values representing the red, green, and blue components of a color. The default is "FFFFFF" (white).

  • negative_color: The chart's background color below the zero line. This is a string holding triple hexadecimal values representing the red, green, and blue components of a color. The default is "000000" (black).

  • positive_alpha: The transparency value of the background color above the zero line. Valid values are 0 (fully transparent) to 100 (fully opaque). The default is 75.

  • negative_alpha: The transparency value of the background color below the zero line. Valid values are 0 (fully transparent) to 100 (fully opaque). The default is 20.

  • corner_tl: The top-left corner radius in pixels. If this is set to a value above zero, then the top-left corner gets rounded by this radius amount. The default is omitted (square corner). This attribute applies to all charts, except for 3d and polar charts. When rounding chart_rect's corners, chart_border and axes labels stay straight.

  • corner_tr: The top-right corner radius in pixels. If this is set to a value above zero, then the top-right corner gets rounded by this radius amount. The default is omitted (square corner). This attribute applies to all charts, except for 3d and polar charts. When rounding chart_rect's corners, chart_border and axes labels stay straight.

  • corner_br: The bottom-right corner radius in pixels. If this is set to a value above zero, then the bottom-right corner gets rounded by this radius amount. The default is omitted (square corner). This attribute applies to all charts, except for 3d and polar charts. When rounding chart_rect's corners, chart_border and axes labels stay straight.

  • corner_bl: The bottom-left corner radius in pixels. If this is set to a value above zero, then the bottom-left corner gets rounded by this radius amount. The default is omitted (square corner). This attribute applies to all charts, except for 3d and polar charts. When rounding chart_rect's corners, chart_border and axes labels stay straight.

  • hide: A boolean that indicates whether to hide the chart or not. This can be used to hide the chart and draw other graphics. Valid values are true or false. The default is false (show the chart).

  • shadow: The ID of a shadow filter to apply to the chart's rectangle. This is omitted by default (no shadow). This works with all charts except for 3d charts.

  • bevel: The ID of a bevel filter to apply to the chart's rectangle. This is omitted by default (no bevel). This works with all charts except for 3d charts.

  • glow: The ID of a glow filter to apply to the chart's rectangle. This is omitted by default (no glow). This works with all charts except for 3d charts.

  • blur: The ID of a blur filter to apply to the chart's rectangle. This is omitted by default (no blur). This works with all charts except for 3d charts.

The default chart rectangle depends on the background dimensions. It's calculated to fit within the background area, leaving some room for the legend and axis labels.

Parts of the chart rectangle that fall outside of the background area are invisible. This can be used to hide the chart itself and show other elements only.

Use alpha values lower than 100 to blend the chart with the background and produce softer and matching colors.
