Description

Radial_ticks draws spaced, radial lines that can be used as dial ticks:

  • x: The horizontal position of the dial's center relative to the upper left corner of the background (0, 0). The default is zero.

  • y: The vertical position of the dial's center relative to the upper left corner of the background (0, 0). The default is zero.

  • radius: The dial's radius. The ticks are drawn inwards from the dial's circumference. The default radius is 100.

  • start: To draw ticks around a complete circle, omit this attribute. To draw ticks in an arc, this determines the starting angle of the arc. An arc is rendered clockwise from the start to the end angle. Angle zero is at the 12 o'clock position. A full circle is 360 degrees. You may use values below 0 and over 360, but the end value must be larger then the start value. The default is 0.

  • end: To draw ticks around a complete circle, omit this attribute. To draw ticks in an arc, this determines the ending angle of the arc. An arc is rendered clockwise from the start to the end angle. Angle zero is at the 12 o'clock position. A full circle is 360 degrees. You may use values below 0 and over 360, but the end value must be larger then the start value. The default is 0.

  • count: The number of ticks to draw. The default is 10.

  • color: The ticks' color. This is a string holding triple hexadecimal values representing the red, green, and blue components of a color. The default is "000000" (black).

  • alpha: The ticks' transparency value. Valid values range from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque). The default is 1.

  • thickness: The ticks' thickness. The default is 3 pixels.

  • length: The length of each tick. The default is 10.

  • caps: The type of caps at the ticks' ends. Valid values are none, round, and square. The default is none.

  • hide_last: If this is true, then the last tick is hidden to avoid overlapping with the first tick when the dial is a complete circle. The default is false.

Example

   <!-- draw a gray dial background -->
   <circle x='240' y='175' radius='140' start='270' end='90' fill_alpha='.1' />
   <rect x='100' y='175' width='280' height='20' fill_alpha='.1' />

   <!-- draw the dial's ticks -->
   <radial_ticks x='240' y='175' radius='130' start='270' end='90' count='11' color='ff4400' length='15' thickness='5' shadow='default' />

   <!-- draw the dial's numbers -->
   <radial_numbers x='240' y='175' radius='110' start='270' end='90' count='11' number_start='0' number_end='100' shadow='default' />
