Wadi Musa Castle
قلعة وادي موسى
Built in 1115–1116 CE, this Crusader castle is surrounded by two outer walls and square watchtowers, and takes advantage of difficult, mountainous terrain for protection. It includes a church, a gatehouse, cisterns, and communication bridges. The Wadi Musa Castle was the last of Jordan’s Crusader castles to fall to Saladin in 1189 CE.
