عصفور وردي سينائي
Jordan’s national bird. Males have a pink head, pink underparts, and a brown back and tail. Females and juveniles are light brown, with darker brown back and tail. Both sexes have lightly streaked underparts and a thick, gray bill.
Timid. Common in flocks.
Sinai rosefinches feed on seeds.
Red sandstone cliffs in southwestern Jordan, including Petra and the Dana Nature Reserve. Nests in rock crevices.
