صرد أحمر الظهر
Males have a distinctive chestnut back, gray crown, black eyestripe, reddish-white throat and belly, black tail, and sharp hooked beak. Females and juveniles are paler and streaked with small crescents.
Impales large prey on sharp thorns to tear into them.
Insects, small birds, and lizards.
Breeds in Europe and western Asia; winters in Africa; migrates south through Jordan in autumn and north in spring. Occurs in bushy areas in the Azraq region and western Jordan.
