Brownish or grayish body with a dark stripe on each side; pointed snout; a large scale between the eye and ear. Adults have small, blue spots below the stripes. Juveniles have a turquoise tail. Males are larger and more colorful than females.
Fast runner. Timid.
Lebanon lizards feed mostly on insects.
Wooded and bushy areas in northwestern Jordan, including Ajloun, Dibbin, Zay, and Salt. Prefers oak forests.
