بلوط دائم الخضرة
Evergreen shrub or small tree; serrated, leathery leaves; small flowers clustered in separate male and female drooping spikes. Female flowers are pollinated by wind. They produce small acorns 1-3 cm long with small cups covered by short scales. Kermes oak is closely related to the Palestine oak (Quercus calliprinos), which is distinguished by its larger size and larger acorns.
