خشخاش أبو قرون
A total of four horned poppy species have been recorded in Jordan. They have red (most common), orange, or yellow flowers; and four petals, generally with a black basal spot. Easily distinguished from other poppies by pointed, horn-like flower buds, and 5–15 cm cylindrical seed pods.
Fields and roadsides of the highlands, including Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash, Amman, Karak, and Shobak.
Spring and early summer.
