Black back, wings, throat, and breast; white crown and underparts; mostly white tail. Females have brown upperparts, darker brown wings, and an orange rump.
Often catches flying insects in flight. Nests in rock crevices.
Arid, rocky regions of western and southwestern Jordan, including Wadi Mujib, Wadi Dana, Petra, Aqaba, and Wadi Rum. Nests in rock crevices.
