Venomous. Thick, brownish or grayish body; brown blotches or cross-bands along the back; broad head; short, rounded snout; dark streaks behind the eyes; horn-like structures above the eyes composed of numerous small scales (horns of the Arabian viper are single scales); short tail. Some individuals have a uniform brownish or grayish color.
Mostly nocturnal. Slow-moving. Inflates its body and hisses when provoked.
Small mammals, birds, and large invertebrates.
Stony deserts and semi-deserts, including Azraq, Qatranah, and Shobak
