Generally brownish or grayish body with light, longitudinal stripes; tail is longer than its body; forelegs thinner than hind legs. Females are bigger than males.
Timid. Moves under plant debris and hides in bushes.
Bridled skinks feed on invertebrates and may resort to cannibalism.
Grassy and bushy fields in western Jordan, including Irbid, Jerash, Amman, Madaba, and Petra. A small population also occurs in Azraq.
