Males are blue-gray in summer. Females and juveniles are brown. Both sexes have slightly darker wings and lighter, scaly underparts.
Timid; keeps its distance by perching on high rocks.
Insects, lizards, and fruit.
Rocky mountains and valleys in western Jordan, including Wadi al-Seer, Wadi Dana, and Petra. Nests in rock crevices and buildings.
