Ants, Bees, and Wasps Intro
مقدمة النمل والنحل والدبابير
Ants, bees, and wasps are closely related. They share narrow waists and other physical and behavioral characteristics. Bees, wasps, and winged ants have two pairs of wings, just like most flying insects. Each pair, however, is hooked together, making them appear as one. The females of some species have long ovipositors for laying eggs, often modified into stingers to defend their nest. Bees are distinguished from wasps by a pollen sack on their hind legs and more hair.
